The church has not left a significant mark on my life. I may know some of the Ten Commandments, I have seen a number of churches, some of them from the inside. However, I have no personal involvement and it does not affect my worldview. Just because I get into religious-related topics does not mean that I am looking for them. Religion is looking for me. Mainly on Facebook. These days, for example, I still don\’t and won\’t delete posts from the Salvation Army. I can close it if I want to, and there\’s always another post from somewhere. And as is usually the case with these things, it is usually heartbreaking.

This gentleman was on the streets with nowhere to go after his release from prison, but now he\’s better off in a shelter, thanks to crisis centers, only 13% of homeless people are back on the streets and flooding People in the affected areas are getting help. What does that have to do with me? It may have nothing to do with me, but they say I can contribute financially to their safety. They say I can give \’my heart to God and my hands to the people. And money, I think, to everyone. That would narrow my interests to the bare minimum. Because, as I mentioned, I have nothing to do with the church, nor do I intend to support their activities.

Still, I don\’t reject it so much. While I do not object to this redistribution of my money, I still do not believe that people are being helped without an ulterior motive of promoting religious ideology. In this case, however, I still have a positive opinion of the Salvation Army. It is clearly doing enough, at least considering its capabilities. The Salvation Army is helping more people than the Daddy State because it is taking money directly out of my pocket without my asking for it. And it is more effective than the Daddy State. And more importantly, the Salvation Army helps people only by helping them. Like all governments without exception, its aid does not come at the expense of future generations.
